This situation calls for a new ethical paradigm that goes beyond technocratic solutions and is rooted in religious values. This article examines the concept of ecological stewardship (khalifah) in Jamaluddin al-Qasimi’s Mahāsin al-Ta’wīl and its relevance to contemporary environmental challenges in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative approach with a library research design, this study applies a thematic (maudhu‘i) method to key Qur’anic verses on khalifah, particularly Q. 2:30, Q. 7:56, Q. 30:41, and Q. 24:41. The findings reveal that al-Qasimi conceptualizes khalifah not as human domination over nature but as a divine trust that obliges environmental preservation as a form of monotheistic worship. Through a thematic framework, al-Qasimi constructs a holistic ecotheology encompassing ecological stewardship, cosmic harmony, and eschatological accountability. This study highlights the methodological strength of thematic tafsir in bridging Qur’anic texts with modern ecological crises. Theoretically, it contributes to the development of Qur’anic ecotheology and thematic exegesis, while practically offering an Islamic ethical foundation for environmental policy and ecological movements in Indonesia.
muhammad aniq aniq ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-04-02 2026-04-02 8 2 1 20 10.31538/dirosatuna.v8i2.9504 The Role Of Syariah Fintech In Supporting Entrepreneurship In Surabaya https://e-journal.uac.ac.id/index.php/drstn/article/view/9209
Financial technology or Fintech is an innovation in the financial services industry that utilizes the use of technology. The main problem discussed is how non-formal Islamic institutions contribute to religious understanding and moral development. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach. The findings indicate that TPQ plays a fundamental role in introducing Qur’anic literacy, basic worship practices, and early moral values. Meanwhile, Madrasah Diniyah provides deeper knowledge related to Islamic teachings, including fiqh, aqidah, and akhlak. Both institutions complement formal education and significantly contribute to building students’ religious character. Therefore, strengthening TPQ and Madrasah Diniyah is essential in developing morally responsible and religiously competent individuals.
Fatimatus zahro zahro ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-09-04 2025-09-04 8 2 33 55 10.31538/dirosatuna.v8i2.10127 Effectiveness of Wage Subsidy Assistance ( BSU ) for Honorary Teachers in Perspective Maqashid Syariah in Indonesia https://e-journal.uac.ac.id/index.php/drstn/article/view/7808
The welfare of honorary teachers in Indonesia remains a critical issue within the national education system, particularly concerning income disparities and the lack of social security. In response, the government introduced the 2025 Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) policy, providing IDR 600,000 to 565,000 non-permanent teachers as a form of fiscal intervention. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and fairness of BSU distribution from the perspective of maqashid sharia , focusing on the protection of wealth ( ḥifẓ al-māl ), life ( ḥifẓ al-nafs ), and intellect ( ḥifẓ al-'aql ). Employing a qualitative method and library research approach, the study draws upon policy documents, classical Islamic literature (al-Ghazali, Ibn 'Ashur), and contemporary scholarly works (Chapra, Dusuki). The analysis utilizes a descriptive-normative framework. Findings indicate that while BSU partially fulfills the objectives of maqashid sharia , it falls short in addressing structural inequality due to uneven distribution, temporary financial relief, and weak data integration across institutions. This article contributes to the discourse on integrating maqashid sharia into fiscal policy evaluation and proposing a more sustainable, Islamically-aligned social assistance model .
M. Departing from the same understanding in the yellow book texts, sometimes the application (tathbiq) is not in the right way to certain conditions and realities. Jihad which in classical discourse is defined as a war against infidels, if the application (tathbiq) is not applied correctly, it can actually provide an terror opportunity for a group to destroy kufr on the earth indiscriminately. The Innocent children will be the victims of violence of war, women and children will be made as slaves, and their property will be ghanimah (war booty). The texts in the yellow book sourced from the Quran and hadith must be able to be the foundation and the trigger for world peace. Therefore, the texts in the yellow book, must be understood comprehensively, actual, and applied contextually, especially on issues related to siyasah and benefit of the humankind. Not on the issues of worship which is only valid when there are commands and prohibitions from shari'a. Jihad should not be understood narrowly, or it can be devastating to the peace of the people. The status of non-Muslims, which offered (by classical scholars) in the concept of jihad, must not be considered as a standard provision and can not be changed. Because, in the theory of salaf, more or less it will affect the legality of war and hostility. So that, the most primary thing, actually is have to look at the basic status of relations between religious communities (Muslim and non-Muslim), based on the principle of relations of peace or hostility.
Muhammad Sholahuddin Al-Ayyubi ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-04-09 2026-04-09 8 2 71 89 10.31538/dirosatuna.v8i1.6317 THE ROLE OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION IN BUILDING CHARACTER AND SOCIAL STABILITY AMONG STUDENTS AT MADRASAH ALIYAH IBNU HUSAIN IN SURABAYA https://e-journal.uac.ac.id/index.php/drstn/article/view/10231
Islamic education plays a fundamental role in shaping students’ character and maintaining social stability, particularly at the Madrasah Aliyah level, where adolescents experience complex cognitive, emotional, and social development. Current phenomena indicate a decline in moral values, increasing individualistic behavior, and weakening social awareness among students, making Islamic education highly relevant as a value-based educational system. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in building character and social stability among students at Madrasah Aliyah Ibnu Husain Surabaya. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a field research design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving Islamic education teachers, homeroom teachers, and selected students. The findings reveal that Islamic education significantly contributes to character formation through the internalization of moral values via habituation, exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah), and integrated learning processes. Furthermore, Islamic education fosters social stability by promoting tolerance, empathy, cooperation, and harmonious interactions among students. Religious activities such as congregational prayers, Qur’anic recitation, and social programs strengthen both individual religiosity and collective social bonds. In conclusion, Islamic education not only develops students’ moral and spiritual dimensions but also plays a crucial role in creating a stable and harmonious social environment within the school.
Munir Munir Munir ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-04-14 2026-04-14 8 2 90 100 10.31538/dirosatuna.v8i1.10231
