Tahfidz Learning Strategies as a Representation of Islamic Educational Tradition: A Study at TPQ Nurul Qodiri
Strategi Pembelajaran Tahfidz sebagai Representasi Tradisi Pendidikan Islam: Studi di TPQ Nurul Qodiri
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the tahfidz learning strategy as a representation of islamic educational traditions at the Nurul Qodiri Islamic Boarding School (TPQ) in Jelbuk, Jember, identifying inhibiting factors, and examining the evaluation system. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation using the Miles and Huberman data analysis model. The results indicate that the tahfidz learning strategy was implemented systematically through the sima'i, takrir, talaqqi, and murojaah methods. Despite obstacles such as low student concentration, differences in memorization abilities, and time constraints, TPQ Nurul Qodiri successfully maintained the quality of memorization through tiered evaluations that included daily tests through achievement books, volume advancement, and annual munaqosyah (recitation of the Quran). This strategy serves not only as a memorization method but also as a means of transmitting values of discipline, etiquette, and religious culture, involving synergy between teachers and parents.
