Internal Communication Climate in Multicultural Organizations: Challenges and Solutions
Abstract
This study aims to examine the dynamics of deviant social interaction in shaping the communication climate within the organization of Sabrina Al-Fikri Tour and Umrah. The research utilizes a qualitative approach with a case study method to deeply explore the communication challenges faced by the organization. The findings indicate that the communication climate in the organization still faces several issues, including the lack of communication between supervisors and employees, frequent miscommunication between long-term and new employees regarding their work duties, and miscommunication in the determination of work and holiday schedules. The main causes of these communication problems are: (1) insufficient communication between supervisors and employees, (2) unclear job descriptions leading to miscommunication between old and new employees, and (3) discrepancies in the scheduling of work and holidays that result in misunderstandings. To address these issues, the organization has implemented several strategic measures, including: (1) increasing communication intensity between supervisors and employees to foster better working relationships, (2) conducting regular briefings to clarify tasks and promote positive communication and teamwork, and (3) reinforcing the regulations and implementation regarding work and holiday schedules. This research is expected to provide insights into managing a more effective communication climate in a multicultural organization.
