Analysis of the Effect of Education Level, Minimum Wage, and Economic Growth on the Open Unemployment Rate in Banyuwangi Regency
Abstract
The open unemployment rate is one of the important indicators that reflect the dynamics of a country's economy and labor market. The open unemployment rate is the result of an imbalance between the availability of job opportunities and those seeking work. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education level, minimum wage, and economic growth on the open unemployment rate in Banyuwangi Regency. In this study, the method used is a quantitative method using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Banyuwangi Regency for 20 years from 2005-2024. The analytical method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS statistics which aims to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. Based on the results obtained in this study, it shows that the minimum wage has an effect, the level of education has a positive effect, and economic growth has a negative effect and has an influence on the open unemployment rate.
