Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of career development and work environment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with job satisfaction as an intervening variable, among employees of PT BFI Finance Mataram. This research employs an associative quantitative approach. The respondents of this study consist of all 99 employees of PT BFI Finance Mataram. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that career development has a positive and significant effect on OCB, the work environment has a positive and significant effect on OCB, career development has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and the work environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on OCB and is able to mediate the relationship between career development and work environment on OCB. These findings suggest that the better the career development opportunities and work environment perceived by employees, the higher their level of job satisfaction and their tendency to exhibit extra-role behaviors within the organization, known as Organizational Citizenship Behavior.
