Abstract

Optimizing the use of information technology to help humans has entered a very advanced era with the presence of artificial intelligence development on various platforms has contributed greatly to human life. This is indicated by the massive use of information technology in all levels of society during the COVID19 period and after. Community preparedness in dealing with eruption disasters around the Mount Bromo area is the focus of the study, especially in increasing community preparedness up to the Disaster Resilient Village level. One of the efforts made is to provide education through a digital platform that can be accessed by the public at any time for 24 hours. Several obstacles were found in this study, including people who are less familiar with using smartphones or have never accessed personal computer-based sites. However, the existence of a web-based application that provides education about the importance of increasing individual preparedness is quite helpful for tourists who come to visit the Bromo tourist area.
