AN ATTEMPT TO INCREASE THE INCOME OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM (MSMEs) THROUGH A WORKSHOP ON PACKAGING AND BRANDING OF COCOA BEAN PRODUCT IN SUGENG VILLAGE
Abstract
Building up economic development in achieving social welfare has inevitably become significant stimulation for emerging countries that inherently will and must continue to be pursued in improving people’s welfare. Countless attempt to enrich people’s welfare is also in line with national building objectives to achieve the probable growth. One of them is to improve people’s income of micro, small and medium enterprises in given locality. Another attempt to have this through workshop entrepreneurship focusing on product’s enrichment of chocolate nut hoped to improve people’s welfare in Sugeng village. The applied-method is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach by emphasizing on empowerment of major local potential in order to improve quality of the product along with social income. The result of this community service includes in the form of theorical engagement and practical approach comprehensively, mentoring on fundamental aspects of marketing strategy in the form of online and offline afterwards.
