Teacher's Strategy in Overcoming Learning Difficulties of Class X Students at MAN 2 Model Medan
Strategi Guru dalam Mengatasi Kesulitan Belajar Siswa Kelas X MAN 2 Model Medan [استراتيجية المعلم في التغلب على صعوبات التعلم لدى طلاب الصف العاشر في مدرسة MAN 2 النموذجية بميدان]
Abstract
Purpose- This study aims to analyze the strategies used by Arabic language teachers in overcoming learning difficulties of class X students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Medan Model.
Design/methodology/approach- The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies.
Findings/results – The results showed that the learning difficulties faced by students included internal factors such as low interest and motivation to learn, as well as external factors such as a less conducive learning environment. To overcome these difficulties, the teacher applies several strategies, including: (1) using varied and interesting learning methods, such as direct modeling, lectures, discussions, and language games; (2) utilizing audio-visual learning media and props; (3) providing special guidance and assistance for students who experience difficulties; (4) involving students actively in the learning process; and (5) applying the role of the Arabic language environment in improving Arabic language proficiency at MAN 2.
Originality/value –These strategies have been proven to be effective in increasing students' interest and motivation to learn, as well as helping to overcome Arabic language learning difficulties. This research is expected to contribute to the development of Arabic learning strategies that are more effective and interesting for students.
