Abstract

Purpose - The objectives of this study are: 1) to know the types of strategies used by teachers in improving Arabic Speaking Skills in Pondok Pesantren Darul Ma’rifah Gontor through Harold Lasswell, 2) to explain the various Arabic environments that improve Arabic Speaking Skills in Students at Pondok Modern Darul Ma’rifah Gontor through Harold Lasswell.

Design/methodology/approach - This research is Qualitative research with a Case Study approach. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The Data Analysis Technique include Four Ways: Collecting Data, 2) Integrating Data, 3) Condensing Data Distribution, 4) and Giving Conclusions to Data.

Findings/results The study shows that Darul Ma'rifah Islamic Boarding School improves students’ Arabic speaking skills through varied and interactive strategies such as discussions, pictures, and direct speaking practice. This success is supported by a strong Arabic language environment with daily vocabulary input, repetition, language courts, and language tests. These findings can guide teachers, researchers, and students in improving and studying Arabic speaking skills in Islamic boarding schools.

Originality/value - This paper has more impact to improve Arabic speaking Skill.
