Abstract

Indonesia has a Baduy tribe that has isolated itself, but it has been contaminated by the flow of digitalization. One of them is the foreign Baduy who continue to exist in their culture and spread narcissistic behavior via social media above their traditional regulations. New media communication motives for outer Baduy teenagers towards narcissistic behavior on YouTube social media. New media communication for foreign Baduy teenagers against narcissistic behavior on YouTube social media. However, of the many YouTube social media about foreign Baduy youth, researchers explored the YouTube account @ayiastaman. The results of this research show that based on the theory of uses and gratification, Baduy teenagers outside feel satisfied and very helpful with the existence of platforms on social media. Meanwhile, the motive of foreign Baduy youth for narcissistic behavior on YouTube social media is due to the use of marketing handicraft products, as a means of communication and entertainment. In their practice, the Baduy outsider youth remain steadfast in their traditional regulations which contain a requirement. Through networking, Baduy youth from abroad can spread their culture from several frames via the social media YouTube
