Review Process Policy

Aulada: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Perkembangan Anak is committed to maintaining high standards of academic quality, objectivity, and integrity through a rigorous and transparent peer-review process. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated based on their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, methodological rigor, academic contribution, and clarity of presentation.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to assess their suitability for the journal's focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, originality, and basic academic quality.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected without proceeding to peer review.

2. Peer-Review Process

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are sent to qualified reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area of the submission.

The journal applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the journal's focus and scope.

  • Originality and contribution to the field of education and child development.

  • Theoretical foundation and engagement with relevant literature.

  • Appropriateness of the research design and methodology.

  • Accuracy and validity of data analysis and interpretation.

  • Clarity of writing, organization, and presentation.

  • Compliance with research ethics and publication standards.

3. Reviewers' Recommendations

Based on their evaluations, reviewers may recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept: The manuscript is suitable for publication without substantial revision.

  • Minor Revision: The manuscript requires limited revisions before a final decision.

  • Major Revision: The manuscript requires substantial revisions and may be subject to further review.

  • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal's standards or is unsuitable for publication.

Reviewers provide constructive comments to help authors improve the quality and scholarly contribution of their manuscripts.

4. Editorial Decision

The editor makes the final decision based on the reviewers' reports, the manuscript's academic quality, and the journal's editorial policies. The editorial decision may differ from individual reviewers' recommendations when justified by the available evidence and editorial considerations.

The editor communicates the decision and relevant reviewer comments to the corresponding author through the journal's electronic submission system.

5. Revision and Resubmission

Authors whose manuscripts require revision must respond to the reviewers' comments and submit a revised manuscript within the deadline specified by the editorial team.

Authors are encouraged to provide a point-by-point response explaining how each comment has been addressed. If a suggestion is not adopted, an appropriate academic justification should be provided.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by the editor, depending on the extent of the revisions required.

6. Confidentiality and Ethical Standards

Editors and reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.

Reviewers are expected to disclose potential conflicts of interest and decline assignments when such conflicts may compromise their impartiality. All participants in the review process must adhere to recognized publication ethics standards.

7. Review Duration

The duration of the review process may vary depending on reviewer availability, the complexity of the manuscript, and the extent of revisions required. The editorial team strives to process submissions efficiently while maintaining the quality and integrity of the peer-review process.

8. Final Acceptance and Publication

Acceptance for publication is determined by the editor after considering the review reports and confirming that the manuscript meets the journal's requirements. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, proofreading, layout preparation, and publication according to the journal's publication schedule.

Aulada: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Perkembangan Anak reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet its academic, ethical, or editorial standards.
